Brock Cooley Motorsport ready for new season

A big season awaits Wellington NZV8 Touring Car driver Brock Cooley and the Brock Cooley Motorsport Team as they prepare for first round of the new motor racing season at Taupo over the weekend of 17/18 October.

Before the team hits the track for that opening round they have started the season with the news that Lower Hutt Ford dealership Stevens Motors Ltd will support their efforts throughout the 2015/2016 season. That is welcome news for the team and a real coup as the various V8 series reunify for what promises to be a stellar season after a number of years that saw the various V8 cars racing separately in different series. In fact Stevens Motors Ltd has now become the first Ford dealership to support anyone in the category since the split.

Cooley is stoked to welcome a new sponsor on board for what promises to be the most exciting season of V8 racing in New Zealand for several seasons. "It is great to welcome Stevens Motors Ltd on board and to have them join my existing sponsors. The support of those businesses that are behind us is essential in such a demanding series."

This will be Cooley's third season in the NZV8 Touring Car Championship after he finished fourth overall in the 2013/2014 championship and eighth last season despite electing to miss the two South Island rounds. Prior to stepping up to the NZV8's Cooley was the NZGT Champion in the IRC Racing Categories.

Stevens Motors Ltd join several other supporters who have been with Brock for sometime including, Gaskin Ford & Mazda, Macbilt Engineering, Ashton Panel & Paint, Duncan Partition Installations and BC Contracting.
