Bicep – Performing in Wellington November 19

Matterhorn & Strange Behaviour are excited to bring you BICEP direct from the UK.

World-renowned bloggers and tastemakers, and currently one of the most in demand DJ acts on the international scene, Bicep perform their first ever show in Wellington at Matterhorn on Thursday, 19 November.

London based, Belfast-born blogger-production-DJ duo Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson need little by way of introduction. Their 'Feel My Bicep blog" is the go-to place for tastemakers world-wide. On a production tip, they’ve evolved from the raw garage-infused sound of critically acclaimed tracks like $tripper and Vision of Love into a formidable creative force with recent releases Celeste and Dahlia (both 2015). 2013 saw Bicep tour globally, including dates in North & South America, Australia, Asia and Dubai, with an especially busy summer packed full of festivals, each event solidifying the duo’s growing reputation.

In 2014 their Essential Mix aired on BBC Radio One and was shortlisted as one of four best essential mixes of 2015. They also had standout sets with their We Love Residency at Space in Ibiza and closing the Yuma tent at Coachella.

Recently, they’ve just finished a programme featuring guests such as Derrick May, Andrew Weatherall, and other respected and fresh faces across the 13 week series. Other Feel My Bicep parties in 2015 have included their first stateside event in LA, which took place in March, and an Off Sonar party in Barcelona with DJ Harvey in conjunction with Frankfurt’s Live at Robert Johnson in June. Thankfully they’ve managed to find time to fit Wellington into their incredibly busy schedule, and help celebrate Wellington-based Strange Behaviour’s first birthday.

Strange Behaviour are a Wellington based organisation that has so far put on events featuring some of the most exciting acts in electronic music right now, including Session Victim, Red Rack ‘em, Frank Booker, Inkswel, Iron Curtis, Harvey Sutherland, and Dicky Trisco, which will continue throughout 2015.
