Kiwi comedy favourite Urzila Carlson live in Upper Hutt
Live Laughs is a 2 hour comedy showcase with some of the best comedy talent around, right in the heart of Upper Hutt.
Headline act is the incomparable Urzila Carlson.
One of the country's best loved comedians, Urzila has
made numerous TV appearances in New Zealand on shows such as
`A Night at the Classic’, ` The Comedy Christmas
Cracker’ with Rhys Darby, AotearoHA!, Jono and Ben at Ten
and of course she tames the boys as a regular panelist for
TV3’s hit show 7 Days, The Radio and Comedy Galas in both
Australia and New Zealand.
MC James Nokise is fresh from the Edinburgh Festival. 2015 has seen him perform his solo show Big Words in Wellington and Auckland for the NZ International Comedy Festival and So-So Gangsta for a season in New York. Arguably the sharpest political comedian in the country, he's also an actor, playwright, and former Hutt Valley local.
With support acts
Jerome Chandrahasen - a regular MC and performer on the NZ comedy scene and has taken part in multiple NZ Fringe and Comedy Festivals. He is a frequent compere of the Wellington Raw Comedy Quest, and has appeared on TV2's Christmas Comedy Cracker hosted by Rhys Darby.
Alice Brine - support for David Koechner, a sold out NZ Comedy Festival performance with Daniel John Smith, and most recently a 2016 Billy T Award nomination, Alice has cemented her place as the one to watch in both the Wellington and New Zealand comedy scene.
Adam Chown - from the Welsh countryside to the Hutt Valley, Adam has plenty of hilarious tales to share of living in NZ, and his home town of Pontypridd.
