Whitireia Visual Arts presents “Flux”
"Flux: A continuous change, the state of in-between. Whitireia Visual Arts students present a showcase of printmaking, painting, textiles and jewellery. Flux is the constant development and continuous flow of creative energy among students."
Whitireia Visual Arts students, along with co-sponsors Gordon Harris, Rimu Grove Winery and Resene, are proud to present a group exhibition of new works featuring second and first year Bachelor of Applied Arts students.
“Flux” will run from 10 – 14 November, 2015 at Thistle Hall, 293 Cuba St, Te Aro, Wellington. There will be an opening on Tuesday 10 November at 5.30pm.
Most works will be available for sale on-site.
These up and coming artists each have a unique and fresh way of looking at the world and translating their experiences into prints, painting, jewellery and installation art. Each student’s practice allows them to express and interpret the world we live in.
Many of the works explore cultural and self-identity, materials, and form in their various transformative states. The ebb and flow of self-expression is reflected within the body of work.
