Echo Festival Releases Site Map
Echo Festival has released its site map for the two-day music festival at Vector Arena in January.
The site will include three stages and makes full use of the entire Vector Arena site including an outdoor stage on the venue’s concourse and utilising the neighbouring Mahuhu ki te Rangi Reserve for art installations, street theatre and as an outdoor chill-out zone with markets in the surrounding streets.
Echo Festival takes place at Vector Arena on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 January with headline acts including Disclosure, The Flaming Lips, Jamie xx, Alison Wonderland, Courtney Barnett, Mac de Marco, Elliphant and Kurt Vile & The Violators. The music is scheduled to start from 3pm each day and runs until late each night with the outdoor stage running until 9pm.
Festival director Paxton Talbot says the carnival atmosphere will make this event something special for the city.
“We’re working very closely with Vector Arena and they were really keen to do something special. We’re looking forward to something which is vibrant, colourful and perfect for the summer.”
