UK’s Technical and Steve Hill to head the biggest DJ lineup seen in years
International DJs are to headline Wellington’s biggest dance party next month, with Sydney-based Wellington DJ Steve Hill and UK DJ Technikal (Alf Bamford) fronting the best hard dance DJ line-up Wellington has seen in years.
Revolution promotions spokesperson Gareth Robins says the event, Revolution Dance Party 2015, to be held at The Grand on Courtenay Place, will be the biggest line-up yet, with 12 DJs and a pumping crowd.
“We have 400 registered to attend already, and the crowd is expected to be at least double that of similar events run in Wellington with a big walk-in crowd expected.”
Technikal is one of the most respected and successful hard dance producers in the world; twice winner of the ‘Best UK Hard Producer' title. He is also well recognized on the UK hardcore circuit under his Technikore project, and is co-producer for pop smash Example on his 'Live Life Living' album. His production talents and ideas are some of the most sought after in the industry
Sydney-based Hill, originally from Wellington, where he both studied and worked, returns to his home town as one of the biggest selling hard dance acts worldwide, Having released more than half a million singles, and appeared on 2,000,000 compilation units, the pint sized juggernaut is a force to be reckoned with.
Dubbed the ‘king of euphoric hard dance’ Hill is currently head of Sydney’s Masif Organisation, and co-owner of Masif Saturday’s nightclub.
With more than 50,000 Facebook fans and 100,000 email contacts, his supporters are there in numbers to attend his shows anywhere in the world he is booked to spread his gospel.
Also joining the pair is Australian-based DJ Justin Charge, Auckland based DJ David Ding and a host of local DJs, including Eamonn Fevah, Helix, Heylady, Bastian, Nuro GL, Kronik, and one-off return of Sydney-based Chaomain, a mainstay of the Wellington dance scene earlier in the decade, ,and one who is sure to draw a big crowd.
The venue will have two separate levels - The Hard Dance level and the House and Trance level - both putting an epic line-up of both international and local talent on the table.
“Our goal is to run a massive party with huge international talent once a year. “ Robins said.
“With continued support we will continue to seek out and book world class DJs.”
