Make a Resolution to Experience the Impossible
Make a Resolution to Experience the Impossible with the Monthly Mystery
Wellington, 22 December 2015 - With the New Year approaching, now is a good time to think about the changes 2016 might bring. Could it be that experiencing mystery and wonder is on your list of resolutions?
There’s one way to find out - come along to The Monthly Mystery , New Zealand’s only all-magic-and-mystery show, returning to the Fringe Bar in Wellington on 14 January 2016, at 7 pm.
Produced by Mountebank Entertainments Limited and featuring magic, mind-reading, mirth and mayhem, The Monthly Mystery occurs on the second Thursday of every month. It showcases Wellington, national and international performers skilled in the mystery arts.
“Most New Year’s resolutions involve giving something up, or breaking a bad habit,” says Mountebank Entertainments’ Mike Kay. “Why not start a new habit instead, one that invites the elements of enchantment and wonder back into your life? That’s really what The Monthly Mystery is all about.”
Performers for the December Monthly Mystery include:
Edward Hall, the man with a dubious duck;
Tom Sutton and his interpretation of modern magic;
Matthew Carter with his mental manipulation; Chelfyn Baxter, and his act that defies taglines;
Mike Kay, the mysterious MC.
Kay believes The Monthly Mystery can also help with any other of your resolutions. “When you attend The Monthly Mystery and see the impossible, then any other challenges you set for yourself in 2016 will become far less daunting.”
The Monthly Mystery occurs at the Fringe Bar in Wellington on 14 January 2016, at 7 pm. Tickets are $15, available online at http://www.eventfinda.co.nz/ . If the show has not sold out, there will be door sales.
