SATURDAY 23 JANUARY 2016

60 million people around the world have been forced to flee their homes. This number is drastically rising due to conflict in Syria and other parts of the world.
In Syria alone more than 12 million people have been forced from their homes and 4.5 million have fled the country. Imagine if every New Zealander was forced to flee their home.
To support refugee resettlement in New Zealand, Kiwis On Board and Diva the Agency will host a free concert featuring an amazing line-up of New Zealand artists.
Bring your blanket and a picnic to Auckland’s Silo Park to hear Kiwi music legends Neil Finn and the Topp Twins, along with Hopetoun Brown, Thomas Oliver and the Jubilation Choir, perform, in support of New Zealand Red Cross’ refugee resettlement programmes.
This is a free event, although a $20 koha to support refugee resettlement in New Zealand is welcomed. Donations can also be made through our Give a Little page: http://givealittle.co.nz/cause/kiwisonboard.
New Zealand Red Cross is proud to be the primary provider of refugee resettlement programmes in Aotearoa. We work with former refugees as they overcome the challenges of adapting to life in a new country.
Silo Park is the perfect waterfront location for this special occasion. Known for its regular community activity, it’s a place where people come together to share stories, socialise or just sit and relax. Silo Park's weekly markets will be open from midday, with street food and cold drinks pouring from the Silo Park bar.
All proceeds go to New Zealand Red Cross’ refugee
resettlement programmes

Special thanks to Fresh Concept and Silo Park for their support.
