Māoriland Film Festival to Announce 2016 Programme on Saturday
Māoriland Film Festival is set to announce it's 2016 programme at Te Rā o Waitangi celebrations in Wellington this Saturday.
Te Rā o Waitangi will be held on Saturday 6 February at Waitangi Park on the Wellington Waterfront. Māoriland Film Festival joins this day of kai, kapa haka and live music with the Māoriland Film Bus - a unique mobile film experience.
Inside the bus the public are invited to watch a series of internationally acclaimed Māori short films. The programme includes; I'm Going To Mums (dir. Lauren Jackson), Ross and Beth (dir. Hamish Bennett) The Lawnmower Men of Kapu (dir. Libby Hakaraia), Ahi Kā (dir. Richard Curtis), Abiogenesis (dir. Richard Mans), Ow What! (dir. Mike Jonathan), Two Cars, One Night (dir. Taika Waititi) and Butterfly (dir. Renae Maihi).
Next door and outside the bus, the Māoriland Film Festival crew will be around to share the freshly announced programme for Māoriland 2016.

Māoriland Film Festival will be held in Ōtaki on the Kapiti Coast this Easter - 23 - 27 March, 2016.
