SCOUTS Dive into Mudslide Day!
SCOUTS Dive into Mudslide Day!
Do you think SCOUTS is just about tying knots? Think again - it’s about much, much more with adventure, getting wet and muddy and having fun with friends - and that’s just the beginning!
To celebrate Founder's Day during the weekend of 20-21 February - the birthday of Lord Robert Baden-Powell – SCOUTS New Zealand organises a mudslide extravaganza involving more than 50 events around the country.
It's a free open day event, aimed at encouraging the public to join in and see what Scouting is all about and having fun while doing it!
SCOUTS New Zealand Head of Development and Capability, Mark Long says “Founder’s Day commemorates the birthday of our founder Lord Robert Baden-Powell. For as long as we can remember, SCOUTS has been celebrating the day with mud and water – and it has been a huge success as we continue to see our membership numbers rising”.
Details of many Mudslide Day events will be shared on the SCOUTS NZ Facebook page – www.facebook.com/SCOUTSNZ
