It’s been an incredible five summers of inspired events and community good times at Silo Park, celebrating the people of Auckland and their stories. Together, visitors and locals alike have experienced, and enjoyed, five seasons of outdoor cinema, markets, dance, workshops, performance and more food trucks than you can count - and of course Silo Sessions, the popular weekly musical injection. Now, this Saturday 26th March, all of Auckland is invited to come together for a celebration to top them all!
Head to the waterfront for an afternoon of live music - with some very special guests - to recognise the past five summers of Silo Park being brought to life. The afternoon will feature performances from the inimitable Shayne P. Carter playing songs from his Straitjacket Fits, Dimmer and solo back catalogues, rock’n’roll larrikins The Conjurors, a DJ set from Coco Solid, electronic wunderkind Race Banyon, and DJ Murray Cammick. It all kicks off at 12 noon, so rustle up your friends and whānau and get down to Silo Park for a brilliant afternoon of community merriment - complete with deliciously diverse cuisine and Auckland’s top arts and crafts at Silo Markets, and musical festivities aplenty.
Auckland is a city rich in culture and community, and Silo Park’s Five Year Celebration of Silo Sessions will see summer 2016 go out with a city-wide smile - don’t miss out on what is sure to be an historic Silo Park event.
