NZDF Team Prep for Battle at Invictus Games
The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) is proud to
represent New Zealand at the 2016 Invictus Games, taking
place in Orlando, Florida 8-12 May.
The Invictus Games provides an international stage that unites wounded, ill, and injured Service men and women from around the world, both active duty and veteran, enabling them to learn and share through their common experiences.
In 2014, NZDF sent a contingent of 12 athletes to compete against over 400 athletes from 13 countries. Our team fought hard and brought back six medals for their efforts.
This year, the NZDF team will compete in 10 adaptive sports – representing their Services, our Defence Force, and our country. We’ll face off against 14 other countries in the spirit of comradeship, in a bid to bring back gold.
