World-class Kiwis share inspiring
stories
Global entrepreneurs, a philanthropic celebrity chef and a playwright who couldn’t read until he was 15 are among the Kiwis sharing their stories at Kea Inspire.
Now in its fifth year, Kea Inspire returns in June to bring you the inspirational stories of six world-leading, world-changing Kiwis from Kea’s World Class New Zealand Network.
Kea Inspire 2016 features leading businesswomen Sarah Robb O'Hagan and Linda Jenkinson, celebrity chef Robert Oliver, internationally acclaimed designer, filmmaker and playwright Professor Welby Ings, legal expert and diversity champion Mai Chen and executive wellness coach Steven Renata.
Marketing guru Robb O’Hagan is a former General Manager of Nike and President of global fitness company Equinox, while Jenkinson is a serial entrepreneur who founded LesConcierges and is on the board of Air New Zealand.
Oliver is a New Zealand chef who has developed restaurants in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Sydney, “farm to table” resorts in the Caribbean and food programmes feeding homeless people and African immigrants with AIDS in New York City.
Ings is a Professor of Graphic Design at AUT who was expelled from school and is now renowned for his thinking around different learning styles. He has won awards for his short films and plays and has spoken about the virtues of “disobedient thinking”.
Chen is Managing Partner of law firm Chen Palmer and is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Auckland School Of Law. Born in Taiwan, she is a leading advocate of “superdiversity” in New Zealand society.
Renata is the CEO and Global Director of Business Development for KIWA, the world’s leading production house for experiential digital books. Prior to this he spent 20 years building Les Mills International into a global business spanning more than 100 countries.
The event will take place on 3pm June 15 at Sky City. Join us after the event for networking, and complimentary drinks and nibbles thanks to Kea’s Global Property Partner Barfoot & Thompson.
