CLAUDIA JOWITT
South of North
10 August –
3 September 2016

We are delighted to present Claudia Jowitt's first solo exhibition which opens in the gallery tomorrow.South of North comprises new work mostly made when Claudia was the inaugural Tautai Pacific Arts Trust Artist in Residence at the Dunedin School of Art earlier this year. The exhibition is now available for viewing on our website or in the gallery from 11am tomorrow.
It is very exciting to see the level of attention this young artist is attracting. Claudia only completed her Master in Fine Arts degree at Auckland University last year and already she has a large painting in a public collection and has won an artist residency. Art writer Warwick Brown has described her work as "Some of the best painting you are likely to see in 2016."
