What's Your Party Song?
Blue Bach Productions is
looking for anyone who wants to share their party song with
the Modern Māori Quartet on MY PARTY SONG.
He mihi aroha tēnei nā mātou o Blue Bach Productions. Mauriora ki a tātou.
He kaupapa hou kei te haere, he take whakangahau, he tuku waiata tōna hanga. Otirā ia ko wai mā hei kawe te kaupapa whakaharikoa nei? Nā ko te Modern Māori Quartet. Hei pānui kē tēnei ki ngā manutīoriori o te wā. Heoi. Nau mai ki te kaupapa.
We are producing a half hour music series for Whakaata Māori filming from October 27 to November 2nd, 2016. MY PARTY SONG will feature the Modern Māori Quartet as they sing and kōrero about popular Māori party songs - parties as whānau, as friends, as members of sports and kapa haka teams, as hapū and as iwi. Whenever there’s been a guitar and some voices and a mood for music, some classic songs always manage to lift the roof of the whare. Party songs can be different by region or whānau. Many of them like Te Hokinga Mai and Poi E become huge national favorites. Some of these songs are in Maori and some are in English.
We’re looking for anyone who knows how to sing the best party songs well. As a solo, or a duo or a trio, or a group. If you’re fabulous, if you’re entertaining, and if you’d love to perform on MY PARTY SONG send us your audition online at: bit.ly/MyPartySongAuditionForm.
