Re: A Form of Evil New to This Planet
The award-winning documentary Hard to Believe will be screened at the Academy Theatre, Central Library Building, 44 Lorne Street, Auckland City on Wednesday 28th September 2016. The documentary will screen at 6.30 pm.
The film documents the practice of involuntary live harvesting of organs from Chinese prisoners of conscience to meet demand for organ transplants.
A Q&A Panel will receive questions from the audience at 7.30 pm.
The Panel will be:
Auckland City Councillor Dr Cathy Casey
Mr Kerry Gore, Human Rights Lawyer
Mr Ethan Gutmann (via Skype) Investigative Journalist and Author of The Slaughter
The host/MC will be Mr Barry Wilson, President for the Auckland Council for Civil Liberties.
Witnesses who narrowly avoided the fate of having their organs harvested will be present and available for interview.
