Wellington's Richter City Roller Derby Double Header

Wellington's Richter City Roller Derby Double Header, 26th Nov

Richter City Roller Derby presents Double Header Roller Derby: Richter City All Stars vs New Zealand Men's Roller Derby and Richter City & Friends Freshmeat Graduation game.

On Saturday 26 November at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre, Richter City Roller Derby (RCRD) will be hosting a double header in which the NZ #1 Ranked Team, Richter City All Stars, will face off against NZ Men's Roller Derby, the first public game for Richter City against a Men's team.

The recent graduates of Richter City's 2016 freshmeat intakes, with freshmeat friends from Huka Dolls Roller Derby (Taupo), Rimutaka Roller Derby (Upper Hutt), Kapiti Coast Derby Collective (Kapiti), Whenua Fatales Roller Derby League (Levin) and West Coast Bombers (Wanganui) will be facing off against each other in the curtain raiser game.

Garage Project Bar (alcohol will not be served to minors) and a variety of other awesome food options will be available at Kilbirnie Rec as always. There will also be RCRD exclusive merchandise available and a stall featuring goods from one of RCRD’s sponsors, Thunderpants.

RCRD Sponsor, Te Aro Physiotherapy and Pilates, will be on hand for skaters and Wellington Free Ambulance will also be present, for those just-in-case moments, but in the hopes they’re not needed and can just enjoy the event. To ensure the safety of our fans, the first 3 rows of the up-close 'suicide seating', which is right next to the track is restricted to aged 18+ only, but there is plenty of other seating, including tiered seating available as well.

Doors open at 4pm, the games are set to begin at 5pm and 7pm. Tickets available at: http://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2016/roller-derby-double-header-all-stars-vs-mens-roller-derby/wellington and on the door.
