Is this New Zealand’s first anti-Trump protest song?

Paekakariki
artist Stefan Wolf is staying ‘mum’ over exactly who he
had in mind when he penned his very danceable song “Creep
No.1”.
“Creep No.1” is one of three tracks on Wolf’s new mini-EP of the same name, released this week.
In the song, Wolf lists a countdown of Creeps,
from Number 5 all the way to Number 1. “For all these
creeps, there’s one orchestrator”, Wolf sings.
“he snaps and lashes like an alligator – you’re my
Creep No.1”.
So, is Wolf talking about Donald Trump? “Hmm. A friend of mine got in touch and said she listened to the song heaps of times and that she wanted to ascribe political leaders to the various levels. So it seems that that’s what some people associate ‘Creep' with.
“Maybe it’s a sign of the times,” Wolf says. “I guess these are the kind of lyrics that a lot of people might think they are about them. If the shoe fits, why not wear it?”
Wolf’s latest release comes 18 months after his album, ‘Brandnew Life’. Released by One Shot Wonder, ‘Creep No. 1’ is available on Spotify, Apple Music and most other global music providers.
