Free Theatre Christchurch presents:
Faust Ubu Night

Commencing a year of music-theatre explorations, Free Theatre Christchurch presents Faust Ubu Night on February 17 at The Gym in the Arts Centre. Ubu meets the devil in disguise as Delaney Davidson to sell his soul. As he cannot find it he invites you to find it with him in Marlowe and Goethe, Tom Waits and William Burroughs, Nick Cave, Diamanda Galas and other “familiars” of Ubu Night. If you’re still trying to find a soul in Christchurch, please come and join us!

The night’s entertainment is a stepping stone to one of the company’s major projects for the year, The Black Rider: the casting of the magic bullets, which will feature Arts Foundation Laureate Delaney Davidson:

Combining theatre, music, film and hospitality, audiences become part of an ever changing, ever exhilarating series of sensory environments where the unexpected is to be expected. Proudly supported by The Arts Centre - Christchurch and Creative Communities Free Theatre together with its hospitality partner The Rolling Om collaborates with a diversity of artists to create spectacular experiences.
