Announcing SAD by SAD WEST II

Lesstalk and Papaiti Records are proud to announce SAD by SAD WEST II, a festival about embracing emotion, in music & life, and recognising and appreciating our immediate space and communities.

The Melbourne and Sydney legs will be similar to last year, with an added ‘D.I.Wine’ dinner show.

After the success of of the 1st instalment, we decided to expand the community across the ditch. Both labels see the potential in a stronger tie between the DIY scenes in Australia and NZ, and the touring and exchange and friends that could be gained. SAD by SAD SOUTH will take place in southern Wellington and will be all all ages.

The SAD by festivals are focused on connecting art communities through shared philosophy rather than genre or medium. Our aim is to create events that showcase art, music and poetry that value connection and challenge divisiveness.
