Celebrating 10 Years of Laughter in the Community!!
This Sunday, the St Albans Laughter Club
celebrates ten years of sharing laughter yoga!
Established in March 2007, the Club originally started off in the St Albans Community Centre and took up residence in the Scottish Society Hall after the centre was damaged in the September 2010 earthquake.
The Laughter Club is run by a team of volunteers and every Sunday at 11am they open the doors to a wide variety of people ranging from pre schoolers to people in their 80's! People come for all sorts of reasons, some to get more laughter in their lives; others to cope with stress; people might be going through cancer treatments or rehabilitation of some sort or other. For many, one hour of getting together with people who want to laugh for no reason is enough.
It's contagious, fun, a little crazy and incredibly good for your health, heart and soul.
Come to a session this Sunday starting at 11am at the Scottish Society Hall, corner of Caledonian and Edgeware Roads. The cost is $2 and if you'd like to join us for a shared lunch between 12-1pm please bring a plate of food.
We look forward to seeing you there!
