A musical love-child of Kevin Parker and Lady Gaga, as if raised by Melanie Martinez and Grimes, Hybrid Rose is an electronica artist reigning from Blenheim, New Zealand.
While previous singles were stomping, shimmering, catchy vapourwave-inspired dance tunes, Hybrid Rose's new single System Corrupt is a juicy, vibrant pop track, featuring American Indie newcomer Jah. The fresh sound shows off her versatility and solid production chops as an up and coming local producer.
After some attention from blogs for her debut single Video Games as well as getting playlisted on Radioactive, RDU and 95bfm, this is the last single before the release of debut album 'COSMIC' on April 14th. Expect a sonic and visual interactive multimedia experience that will take you on a psychedelic adventure.
The album consist of 14 tracks, 5 music videos, a COSMIC
arcade game, track stems and a photo gallery (consisting of
artwork for each individual track). Hybrid Rose takes real
life stories, sugarcoats the bleep out of them, crunches
them together, pulls them apart, and then ties it all
together with 8bit visuals and catchy, radio friendly tunes.
