The critically acclaimed, street heralded, and Grammy nominated WALE has announced the release of his hugely anticipated fifth studio album, SHINE, which arrives everywhere May 5th via Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records. The Washington, D.C. native rapper’s new album features collaborations with Travis Scott, Lil Wayne,Chris Brown, Major Lazer, G-Eazy and even Wale’s daughter Zyla, to name a few.
Wale first unveiled SHINE with the, now RIAA gold-certified, smash single ‘My PYT.’ The track earned more than 10 million Spotify streams following its every-hour-on-the-hour iHeart Media world premiere. Other singles include the previously released ‘Running Back (Feat. Lil Wayne),’ and the current US urban radio hit ‘Fashion Week (Feat. G-Eazy).
Wale skyrocketed to stardom with four albums, nine mixtapes, multiple platinum and gold singles, Grammy nominations and countless music awards. A standout member of Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Wale is a game changer. Coming off of the release of his # 1 album, THE ALBUM ABOUT NOTHING ft. Jerry Seinfeld, Wale is now gearing up for the release of SHINE.
Alongside to the release of THE ALBUM ABOUT NOTHING, Wale partook in several high-profiled events at The White House, including First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Reach Higher” initiative for higher education, as well as becoming the first rapper to open the State Of The Union, performing right before President Obama’s final State Of The Union Address.
