August 2017: Netball New Zealand and Kellogg’s have
announced that Special K will become the official breakfast
partner to the Silver Ferns netball team.
Jennie Wyllie, Netball New Zealand Chief Executive says Special K being announced as the official breakfast of the Silver Ferns was a natural fit.
“Like Special K, we want to inspire people to be more confident, lead healthier lifestyles and feel good about themselves.
“As high-performance athletes, the Silver Ferns know the importance of maintaining a nutritious and balanced diet so to have Special K on board will be a great way for them to kick-off their mornings or refuel throughout the day,” says Wyllie.
Kate Hammond, brand manager for Special K says Kellogg’s is immensely proud to be associated with one of New Zealand’s leading sport teams as well as the country’s number one women’s sport.
“The Silver Ferns are fantastic role models and partnering with them provides Special K with an opportunity to share inspirational stories demonstrating that determination, courage and resilience are the keys to success.
“We’re focused on supporting Kiwi women to feel strong and energised to get the most out of their busy lives. This partnership with the Silver Ferns gives us an incredible opportunity to bring Special K’s purpose to life,” says Hammond.
The partnership announcement comes on the eve of the Silver Ferns’ first match of the season against South Africa on Saturday 26th of August.
