MATCH OFFICIALS APPOINTED FOR RLWC2017 POOL ROUND 2

Leading Super League referee Robert Hicks has been appointed to control Friday night's Rugby League World Cup 2017 match between Australia and France at Canberra Stadium.

NRL grand final referee Matt Cecchin has been given control of the vital Pool C clash between Papua New Guinea and Ireland at Oil Search National Football Stadium on Sunday, while Ben Cummins will be in charge of the Samoa-Tonga match at Waikato Stadium on Saturday.

Henry Perenara will referee the other Pool B game between New Zealand and Scotland at Christchurch Stadium on Saturday, while Ben Thaler has been given charge of the England-Lebanon clash at Sydney Football Stadium.

The first match of Sunday's double-header at Townsville Stadium between Italy and USA will be refereed by Ashley Klein, while Chris Kendall will control the second game between Fiji and Wales.
