Auckland’s Most Scandalous New Talk Show
Debuts at Auckland Fringe This February
Sweet confessions, outrageous confrontations, catfights, make-ups and break-ups are all scheduled for The Jenny Taylor Show, Auckland’s Most Scandalous Talk Show. Jenny “Tay” Taylor introduces a cast of quirky characters who are ready to bare all to her live studio audience in exchange for a few precious moments of infamy.
From Howick to Henderson, Remuera to Rodney, Ponsonby Rd to Parnell Rise, Jenny takes audiences on a roving tour of the City’s lesser known secrets, surprises and scandals... all while paying tribute to the 90’s talk show format, and icons Sally-Jesse, Ricki and… Oprah!
Chicken Thigh Productions is an exciting new production company of six, bringing together a diverse mix of talents and backgrounds in music, comedy, film and theatre - ranging from former goody-choir girl, sci fi cabaret vixen, ex-Hobbit Fritillaria and Portland Comedia del Arté graduate, to name a few.
The Jenny Taylor Show combines absurd reality-tv melodrama with musical comedy, turning the tables on all that’s polite and proper. Segment by segment it delivers a subversive social roasting that could leave you sobbing, cheering and LOLing or even jumping off your seat declaring you love that women (maybe even with a few snorts).
Presented as part of Auckland Fringe festival from 20th February - 4th March 2018
