Wellington Hosts North Island Synchronised Swimming Championship
The North Island Synchronised Swimming Championship will be hosted by Wellington Synchro this month.
Over 70 competitors from clubs across the North Island will gather at Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre for the competition on 19th and 20th May 2018.
Six clubs from North Harbour, Tauranga, Waikato, Auckland and Wellington are taking part and 16 schools will be represented at the competition. Competitors will swim in solos, duets, team and combo events.
The Opening Ceremony will be held at 15:00 on Saturday, followed by solos, duets and trios and conclude with the schools competition events from 5pm. Sunday’s timetable includes more solos, teams and combo events. The competition concludes with prize-giving at 14:45.
This is the first time Wellington Synchro has hosted this event as a club.
Wellington Synchro is a relatively small club open to all interested in the sport. We train up to three times a week, mainly at Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre.
Wellington Synchro has competitors from across the city.
