Cabaret De Paris Returns to NZ
Back by Popular Demand: Cabaret De Paris
Returns to NZ
ONE SHOW ONLY AT THE CIVIC – 7
JULY
Following a hugely popular national tour in 2017, during which audiences went wild for the daring beauty of exquisitely talented and bejeweled dancers, Australian Parisian-themed burlesque show Cabaret de Paris is returning to New Zealand.
For one night at The Civic, Cabaret de Paris will again transport guests to the city of love.
Cabaret De Paris is a stage spectacular which showcases and celebrates old-fashioned showgirl glamour, the skill of adagio dancers, aerial pole artistry, comedy circus performers, an illusionist and its famous cancan dancers.
Audiences are intoxicated by the charm of former Moulin Rouge star, Marissa Burgess – a legendary showgirl and once the toast of Paris. Burgess starred in three multi-million-dollar revues: Femmes, Femmes, Femmes, Formidable and Feerie, and earned the title of Longest Serving Star in the Moulin Rouge's 120-year history.
She will be joined by the crème de la
crème of showgirls; dancers who have graced the stages of
Moulin Rouge, The Lido and other French cabaret
revues.
Acclaimed illusionist and Australia’s Got
Talent finalist Michael Boyd will perform some of the
world’s greatest illusions and mind-boggling
disappearances.
The show features over quarter of a million dollars’ worth of lavish costumes, crafted in traditional Paris style, with feathers, sequins, rhinestones and jewels.
The show is choreographed by Todd Patrick, one of Australia’s dance leaders who began his formidable career with Disney, before working for Versace, Dior, Issey Miyaki, Gucci and Chanel, across Europe and Asia. As a dancer he worked internationally, one of the highlights being the principal in The Lido in Paris.
Cabaret de Paris is a 90-minute
spectacle of immense performing talent, authentic showgirl
glamour and cheer-out-loud fun.
Tickets are on sale now
through Ticketmaster.
