John Farnham returning to New Zealand to play one show only at Villa Maria Estate next March!

The legend, the voice, Whispering Jack himself will return to New Zealand in March to play at Auckland’s most idyllic outdoor venue, Villa Maria Estate Winery. Performing works from his extensive catalogue including all the hits you know and love, Mr John Farnham is set to thrill his kiwi fans:

John Farnham has been celebrated widely for more than just his contribution to music. In 1966 he was made An Officer of the Order Of Australia, and in 1986 named Australian Of The Year. Then, in 2003, John was officially inducted into the Australian Music Hall Of Fame.

Over an impressive 50 year career Farnham has remained one of the most accomplished and highest-selling artists in Australasia. The album Whispering Jack has gone a massive 24 x platinum in Australia alone! His ability to light up the hearts of his audience has never waned and his sheer love of being onstage is apparent at every concert.

Joining Farnham at Villa Maria Estate Winery in a very rare appearance are New Zealand favourites Opshop. The Auckland band led by Jason Kerrison forged a loyal following throughout the 2000’s with extensive touring and an abundance of superb radio hits. Song’s such as 'One Day', 'No Ordinary Thing', 'Maybe' and 'Love Will Always Win' were the official kiwi soundtrack of the time. Opshop have released three full-length albums and achieved #1 Top 40 NZ chart positions and this upcoming appearance promises to get the audience up on their feet!

Completing this stellar line up are young virtuoso’s The Miltones. The five-piece have made a real name for themselves in the kiwi music scene over the past few years. Their sound described as bluesy Americana folk-rock, The Miltones are a hard working live band with their sights set on an international career. Last year saw the band release their self-titled debut album to critical acclaim and since they have continued to gig live and grow their devoted fanbase. Villa Maria Winery
The jewel in the New Zealand vineyard crown, Villa Maria will play host to this incredible line-up of musicians this summer. Situated on an ancient volcanic crater, the natural amphitheatre and sprawling green grass is a stunning environment to see these extraordinary artists play from late afternoon and into the Summer evening this coming March.

Villa Maria Winery is an all-ages venue, and as a special offer to families, one child under 12 is welcome free per a ticketed adult.
