Phoenix Win Will Deliver Record Giveaway
Wellington, Friday 15 February 2019 - The crowd at the Phoenix game in Auckland tonight is predicted to surpass records set in 2011 - and if the team keeps up its winning streak at Eden Park, more than 20,000 people expected at the game will be celebrating with a free HELL pizza.
HELL Pizza sponsors the Wellington Phoenix, and twice in the past has offered a free gourmet snack pizza to all tickets holders at the ground if the team wins. If the Phoenix win tonight, it will be one the largest giveaways at a sporting fixture in New Zealand.
Ben Cumming, General Manager of HELL, says they’re excited for the team and the fans.
“The Phoenix has played Melbourne Victory twice and drawn, and won against them in the pre-season. Eden Park is a lucky venue for the team - all the right ingredients are there for a win. There’s always a great atmosphere at the game, and we think the feeling amongst the crowd at the game will be hard to beat”.
David Dome, General Manager of the Phoenix, says they really value HELL’s support.
“We’re excited to partner with HELL. It’s a great brand, and there are a lot of similarities between our two organisations - strong roots in Wellington, innovation, commitment to our fans and we both like doing things a little differently.
“The team is feeling really good heading into tonight’s game. It’s a win-win for our loyal fans if we beat Melbourne Victory - not only will their support be rewarded they’ll also pick up a free pizza,” says David Dome.
Ben Cumming says if the crowd goes over 20,000, the giveaway will be worth more than $190,000.
“It’s going to be an exciting game - and now there’s extra incentive for fans to get down to Eden Park tonight and support the Phoenix”.
Criteria to claim the free gourmet hell pizza snack include; people must buy a ticket to the game; the Phoenix needs to win - not draw; people need to hold onto their ticket and take it into any HELL store to claim their pizza; one ticket per customer; the pizza must be claimed within six days.
