World Record Radio Attempt For Child Cancer Foundation
We are excited to announce that coming Friday 1st March 2019 at 0700 NZ LOCAL TIME DJ's Darren Masters, Wayne Browning and Steven Johnson will be attempting to break the Guiness World Record in category (Longest marathon for a radio music show DJ team). The current record stands at 106.50 hrs made by a DJ team in Dubai in 2018. We want to smash that record to 144 hrs or SIX DAYS STRAIGHT on air. We want to do this to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation New Zealand (www.childcancer.org.nz)
An official Give A Little page has been set up by Child Cancer Foundation at:
https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/panmure-fm-1070v3-fm-world-record
We are excited to announce that this Wednesday at 2pm NZ Local Time (1400) we will be taking two members of a family currently supported by Child Cancer Foundation for a flight over the Auckland CBD and harbour to raise awareness for this cause and for our radio event. This is courtesy of Helisika Helicopters and the flight will be departing from the Helisika base located at 752 Corsair Lane, Ardmore Airport.
We really encourage media
presence at this event to raise awareness for Child Cancer
Foundation and the radio broadcast commencing Friday 1st
March at 0700 NZ Local time.
The radio
DJ's conducting this event and family will be available for
interviews and photos with the helicopter prior to and
post-flight.
We have aquired some wonderful sponsors for this event. Check them out at www.radiojustgotreal.com
We are also pleased to announce that it is ALL GO for Friday's broadcast. As well as a Guinness World record we are seeking to break, this will be the FIRST TIME EVER in New Zealand that a DJ radio team in community radio has attempted a world record simulcasting the event to two different geographic locations at the same time (East and South Auckland).
Please contact Darren Masters or Wayne Browning via the above contact details for more information. We would love to see you there!
