Metallica - WorldWired Tour Announcement with Slipknot

METALLICA has confirmed its long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand. The band’s first concert dates in Australia since 2013, and first New Zealand show in nine years since their World Magentic Tour in 2010, will be:

October 17 Perth AUS Perth Optus Stadium

October 20 Adelaide AUS Adelaide Oval

October 22 Melbourne AUS Marvel Stadium

October 26 Sydney AUS ANZ Stadium

October 29 Brisbane AUS QSAC

October 31 Auckland NZ Mt. Smart Stadium


The newly announced shows are Metallica’s first ever headline stadium plays in Australia and New Zealand. They continue the WorldWired Tour that has played 130+ shows across the world since its 2016 kick-off.

Special guests SLIPKNOT will provide support on all dates.

Fan Club Presales begin Tuesday, March 12 at 1pm.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, March 18 from 2pm.
