ACES Reinforced By Five Changes For Final Clash Of The Summer

After a congested summer, starting on December 17 and rolling on to its climax this week, the Auckland ACES name a strong squad to contest their final Plunket Shield clash against Canterbury in Lincoln.

Having secured the Plunket Shield during last week's draw against Central Districts in Napier, the squad sees five changes.

The top-order is bolstered by Mark Chapman, Martin Guptill, Robert O'Donnell and George Worker, while Ben Lister rejoins what has been a dynamic bowling attack.

With the ACES' unbeaten Plunket Shield run now at 15 matches, Robert O'Donnell's side has the opportunity to make it two campaigns in succession without defeat.

The hosts, and defending champions, will be hoping to cement a second-place finish while the ACES go hunting for a sixth Shield win of the summer.

Lockie Ferguson and Glenn Phillips continue to be unavailable as the pair participate in the IPL.
