Massive Company presents
WHAT WE’RE MADE
OF
Māngere Arts Centre &
ONEONESIX
August 2-12
and
ONEONESIX stages from August
2-12.
What are the things that make us up? Why do we do the things we do? Can we really make a difference? Mapping an exhilarating journey through enormous space, the collisions of our messy modern world, and the importance of tiny personal treasures, the ensemble dives into big questions with playful curiosity and bold exuberance.
Bravely performed by a tight-knit ensemble cast in their early twenties, under the direction of Massive royalty
Wesley Dowdell
and
Carla Martell
,
What We’re Made Of
harnesses the individual life experiences of the cast. The result is theatre that speaks to Aotearoa. Theatre that is thrilling, energetic and uniquely our own.
The energy of emerging artists and the road they have travelled makes for excellent storytelling which is supported by an eclectic musical soundtrack and vital spoken word. Kick-ass performance, stunning lighting and innovative AV all set the course for
What We’re Made Of
to re-energise audiences, reclaiming the true gift of live performance.
Massive has a long-held commitment to developing emerging performers. Founder
Sam Scott MNZM
is dedicated to this mission and believes now more than ever is the time for these voices to be heard.
“Working in a richly collaborative way in tandem with our ensemble is a joyful experience, bursting with new ideas and perspectives. We look forward to igniting live theatre again with this new production”. - Wesley and Carla
