Katchafire Announce "Collie Herb Man (Revival 2.0)" Remixed & Remastered Single
Māori roots reggae legends Katchafire have announced the “Collie Herb Man (Revival 2.0)” single drop on 29 August, in the leadup to releasing the remixed & remastered “Revival 2.0” album on 9 January 2026.

“Collie Herb Man” remains one of Katchafire’s most popular songs, known for its feel-good vibes and laid-back-grooves; singer Logan Bell’s opening phrase “Come on” never fails to give ‘Fire fans an instant contact high.
The band are getting on the plane again for upcoming tour dates in USA in September, Australia in November, and New Zealand dates with UB40 in 2026.
For fans of reggae-infused rock, few bands have captured the essence of global unity and pride quite like Katchafire. Renowned as trailblazers of Māori music, their soulful melodies and powerful lyrics have resonated across continents, bringing together audiences from diverse backgrounds. With a career spanning decades, Katchafire’s commitment to celebrating whānau and roots remains at the core of their artistry, an ethos that drives every note and every performance.
“Originally recorded around 2000, the ‘Revival’ album was the band’s first time together in a studio, our first time tracking and mixing and they weren’t as hands-on as they are now with the process. We felt that certain aspect of the finished album left us wanting, so remixing the album is something we’ve always talked about. Twenty-three years on we got the chance, and it was really fun to hear the original studio performances. They still stand up today and it made me feel real proud of those early recordings and the OG team”, Katchafire singer and founding member Logan Bell said.
