Jenni Smith is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter who proudly embodies the ‘girl next-door’ trope with her romantic, and personal songwriting style. With a sound rooted in pop-country and lyrics that feel like they’re written straight from a diary, Jenni has been carving her place in New Zealand’s vibrant country music scene since the age of 12.

Her journey so far has been marked by major milestones: winning Songwriter of the Year at the 2018 NZCMA Entertainer of the Year Awards, earning nationwide radio play, and achieving chart success with her singles “T-Shirt” (#3, 2024) and “Stuck On You” (#7, 2025) on the Official NZ Singles Chart.

Now, Jenni is stepping into an exciting new era. Her upcoming single “Shopping”, is a playful, tongue-in-cheek story inspired by a real checkout operator in her hometown.
