Put Your ‘Boots On’, Jake Whittaker’s Releasing New Music

Black Friday may be unlucky for the superstitious, but for Jake Whittaker and his fans, Friday, February 13 marks a great day with the release of his new single, Boots On.
Fresh from a standout Tamworth Country Music Festival where he rocked Moonshiners, and following his first run of shows in New Zealand playing to packed rooms, Jake is keeping the momentum rolling with a song built for the dancefloor.
Boots On is about convincing your partner to head out on a Friday night for a fun night together. It’s made for turning up for the weekend. With its driving beat, singalong chorus and 90’s country energy, it is the kind of song that kicks off the night before the first drink hits the bar.
The co-write with Sarah Buckley tips its hat to an era when country music was built for packed dancefloors, big choruses and a good night out. It is a modern take on a throwback sound, familiar in the best way and impossible not to move to.
“This one’s about hittin’ the town with your partner and having a good time, wherever you land,” Jake said.
“It’s a song for the end of the week, when work’s done, the worries are over and it’s time to get out there.”
Following a huge summer of live shows, Boots On captures exactly what fans have come to expect from Jake on stage, high energy, crowd-ready hooks and a sound designed to be played loud.
Jake unleashes this new single as he continues to build his reputation as one of country music’s most energetic live performers, with audiences across Australia and New Zealand responding to his easy connection, big sound and party-first approach to country music.
Whether it’s a night out, a road trip playlist or the first song on the jukebox, Boots On is a reminder of what country music does best, bringing people together and getting the party started.
Put your dancing boots on for this one.
