Hun Lynch Releases New Single “Conan” TODAY Via NOA Records
Hun Lynch (Pākehā, Fiji, Samoa) is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work spans music, film, theatre, and writing.
Hun’s artistic practice is both expansive and deeply personal - bridging the urgency of being alive with the more spiritual, conceptual realms of storytelling and performance. Her sound fluctuates between moments of spiritual grandeur and existential fragility.
A powerful and spiritually virtuosic performer, Hun Lynch has been steadily building a reputation across Aotearoa. Since 2021 she has performed nationwide, opening for Serebii and WOMB, and appearing at Roundhead Studios’ Infinity Sessions alongside LEAO and Neil Finn.
TODAY, Hun Lynch releases her new single “Conan”, offering a first glimpse into her debut album Sycophant, out April 24, 2026 via Te Moana Nui a Kiwa independent label Noa Records.

Self-recorded and produced, and later mixed at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios with engineer Paddy Hill, Sycophant distills Hun’s creative vocabulary into a sound that is at once theatrical, poetic and deeply intimate.
Beyond music, as an actor, she appears in the New Zealand feature film Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant, directed by THUNDERLIPS and starring Jackie van Beek and Arlo Green. Following its premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim, the film will be released in New Zealand cinemas later this year.
“Named after her best friend, ‘Conan’ is an attempt to explain the dream Hun has for herself and all of her friends; to expand, to stretch out, unbound by the complications of their lives. The track is built around broad synth strokes and incantary vocals; part prayer, part command, at its core it is a devotion to friendship and love.
Conan began as a meditation on an image from Tony Kushner’s Angels in America of souls rising after death “like skydivers in reverse, limbs all akimbo, wheeling and spinning”, stretching out then being absorbed into the atmosphere, becoming “the stuff of ozone”. Its atmospheric and electronic chambers lend itself to the dreaming ahead, dreaming beyond the ruptured present towards collective hope and resistance”
Hun Lynch is a boundary-pushing artist whose singular voice continues to draw new audiences across disciplines and borders.
