TVNZ Welcomes Premium Frank Podcast Content To Its Offering

TVNZ is proud to announce the arrival of Frank podcasts to TVNZ+, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of podcasting in New Zealand.
From tomorrow, Kiwi audiences can watch a diverse slate of premium homegrown podcasts, expanding TVNZ+’s compelling content offering.
This partnership positions podcasting alongside traditional media formats, reflecting the industry’s coming of age in Aotearoa and provides a new and exciting way for audiences to engage with them.
Leading the charge is New Zealand’s most popular long-form interview podcast, Between Two Beers, fronted by best mates Steve and Seamus. What began as a hobby in Steve’s garage six years ago is now a multi-award-winning podcast boasting over six million downloads and a monthly audience of more than 180,000 listeners.
“This launch is not just about bringing more great content to TVNZ+,” says TVNZ’s Chief News & Content Officer, Nadia Tolich. “It’s about empowering Kiwi talent and opening new distribution opportunities for the country’s best podcast creators. We’re especially thrilled to introduce the hugely successful Between Two Beers podcast to audiences in this format, showcasing local stories and voices and evolving how podcasts live within the wider TVNZ+ ecosystem.”
Alongside Between Two Beers launching on TVNZ+ will be episodes of Extremely Casual Gamers, Stand Up Again with Nick and Sophie Rado, Human in the Loop, What A Lad, and Party Science, all available to stream from 8am tomorrow, Wednesday 15 April.
Mike Minogue, Founder and Head of Innovation at Frank, says “this collaboration is a huge leap forward for podcasting in Aotearoa. I'm really proud that Frank and TVNZ have been able to work together to create such a fantastic opportunity for both Kiwi podcasters and Kiwi audiences.”
