Quest Ends For TEAC –TTEC Stands Under West’s Wing

“The Aotearoa Tertiary Student Association (ATSA) commends the efforts of the commissioners and their secretariat on a complex and difficult task” said Keith Clark ATSA President. The arduous quest of TEAC ended today with the production of its fourth report ‘Shaping the Funding Framework’.

“Integration, co-operation, collaboration, and the targeted appropriation of resources were highlights from a student perspective of the fourth report” said Clark.

“The focus is now on Governments consultation process and the role that Andrew West and Kaye Turner will have in advancing the final approved steps” stated Clark.

“The tertiary sector has embraced the notion of TEAC for nearly two years now. There has been significant response from stakeholders to the work of TEAC. There has to come a time when the reviews stop and the work starts. The tertiary sector is forced to spend significant amounts of money each time different Governments review the sector. Government should seek cross party support to ensure that there is no more wastage” concluded Clark.
