Tertiary Teachers Awards Good For Students
25 June 02
The Aotearoa Tertiary Students Association (ATSA) would like to extend its congratulations to the recipients of the Tertiary Teacher Awards held last night.
“The awardees are fine examples of the tremendous dedication shown by the majority of tertiary teachers to their students,” said Julie Pettett, President of ATSA. “Thousands of students in New Zealand owe their education to the support and guidance teachers like these provide. ATSA is delighted that these awards have recognised this significant contribution.”
“ATSA believes in a quality education system that supports both the students and the providers of tertiary education,” concluded Pettett. “Recognition of outstanding teachers is an important part of achieving this aim. We encourage the next government to continue to build on and invest in the education system the Minister spoke so highly of last night.”
