Students Call For Action On CEO
Phil Baskerville issued a warning to Polytechnic management today following yesterday's special general meeting where students voted no confidence in the CEO Wanda Korndorffer, for increased transparency from the Polytechnic council, and called for the CEO's immediate resignation.
"When staff and students have no confidence in the CEO and problems with the council's own processes it is time for the council to take immediate action," said Mr Baskerville, continuing, "We implore the council to act before students and staff take more extreme action as the last thing Otago Polytechnic needs is more negative publicity" Mr Baskerville said.
After yesterday's admission by Dr Korndorffer that there had been serious problems with the redevelopment OPSA Vice-President, Michelle Watt, wants to know what the Polytechnic is planning to do to recompense students who have had their courses compromised.
