Tertiary education price controls: just say no!
Tertiary education price controls: just say no!
1982: it was the best of times; it was the worst of times ...
Muldoon had imposed price controls; Duran Duran was top of the charts; and padded shoulders were in fashion. It's not an era many would be keen to revisit!
If introduced in the Budget today, fee maxima will simply be a return to the Muldoon-style, price-control policies that New Zealand has long since left behind. Only this time they'll be targeted at tertiary institutions.
Just say no to price controls
for tertiary institutions. There is a better way.
