Time running out for entries in NZBio Essay Competition
There's just four weeks to go until the 14 October deadline for entries in the 2005 NZBio Secondary School Students' Essay Competition.
"The essay topic, 'How might biotechnology applications affect me? Choose an application, explain the science and discuss its potential to impact on your life' is designed to get students thinking about this exciting field of science," NZBio CEO Brian Ward says.
"We remind all students and teachers of the cash prizes for winning essays."
First prize is $500
Second prize is $300
Third prize is $150
A poster promoting the essay competition was sent to all secondary schools last month, and can be downloaded from NZBio's web site at: http://www.nzbio.org.nz/uploaded/Essay1.pdf
