Wellington School of Cricket launches Graduation Programme
The Wellington School of Cricket (WSC) is launching an exciting new Graduation Programme tomorrow evening (June 4) at 6:15pm at the Wellington School of Cricket Seminar Room at Westpac Stadium. This programme has been introduced with the view of offering cricketers the most comprehensive training programme possible.
The WSC is the leading provider of cricket coaching and cricket education in the region. The Graduation Programme takes students through a structured methodological learning process designed to enable students to reach their cricket potential. Gavin Larsen, Cricket Wellington CEO, says “students will enjoy a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a high-quality, multifaceted, cricket training programme”.
The programme is a key step in ensuring that Wellington’s elite cricket teams have the depth required to be the best in the country. It also further solidifies the Wellington School of Cricket’s reputation as the best publicly available provider of cricket training and cricket education in New Zealand.
Experienced and high-qualified coaches, under the guidance of Christie van Dyk (Cricket Wellington’s Elite Player Coach) and Mark Borthwick (Director of Coaching) will be tagged to each student. These specialist coaches will deliver this integrated coaching programme that focuses on not only the key skill areas of batting, bowling and fielding, but also vital areas such as game-sense training, leadership, tactical acumen, mental skills development and nutrition.
The programme has three objectives: 1. Train and develop cricketers in a high pressure, intense, environment to face the challenges of the cricketing world.
2. Develop a complete cricketer by offering a comprehensive cricket education programme.
3. Fast track cricketers to higher levels through continuous improvement The launch will run from 6:15pm – 7pm, followed by drinks and nibbles and we would be delighted if you’d attend. It will be held in the Wellington School of Cricket seminar room which is on the street level of Westpac Stadium.
