School Principal Mary Jones says this is an amazing result.
“It’s absolutely brilliant that despite tough economic times people are still out in force supporting our school. I feel humbled by the strength of community support we continue to experience year after year.
“This year’s gala was made even more enjoyable than usual with a fabulous sunny day meaning people relaxed to the sounds from Uncle Monkey while enjoying food from the food court,” says Mrs Jones.
“We had so much entertainment on offer that the kids didn’t want to leave so families spent most of the day at the gala with many spending up large,” she says.
“This year the big money spinners were the books raising $3,000 and clothing $2,300 but really it is all the smaller stalls and entertainment booths that add up to make such a huge total.”

Mrs Jones says the $26,000 raised will go towards new laptops for the classrooms and other ICT equipment.
“I really would like to say a big thanks to our community and especially to our sponsors who helped to make it such a great day.”
