Update on Computer Power (NZ) Limited (In Liquidation)
John Fisk and Jeremy Morley, of PwC, as the Liquidators of Computer Power (NZ) Limited (In Liquidation) are pleased to announce an agreement has been reached that will enable a way forward for the staff and students of Computer Power.
The Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec) and Whitireia Community Polytechnic (Whitireia) and related entities have agreed to take on all existing students and courses.
John Fisk says, “We have been well aware the situation has been unsettling for all those involved and we are pleased students now have clarity and a way forward to complete their qualifications. We wish the students all the best with their studies.”
The agreement has the support of the Tertiary Education Commission and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority who have been engaged in the discussions throughout the course of the Liquidation to date.
Details of the agreement are commercially sensitive at this stage and as a result, the Liquidators are not in a position to comment further.
