Minister of Education attends homebased educators’ conference
The Minister of Education, Hon Hekia Parata, is attending the New Zealand Homebased ECE Association Conference in Wellington on Friday September 5.
“This is a great opportunity for attendees to meet the Minister of Education, and for the Minister to meet some of the dedicated people involved in the provision of homebased childcare in New Zealand,” says Evan Kidd, Acting Chairperson of the Homebased ECE Association.
Homebased childcare, where educators provide childcare in their own homes for young children, is the fastest-growing ECE sector and the preferred form of childcare and education for over 19,000 children aged 0-5.
