New sport equipment for Naenae Primary School
Naenae Primary School loves their sport, especially basketball and netball. The school has a big commitment to encouraging children to participate in sport as shown by their sports academy. For the past year, however, the school has had the challenge of having to practice with damaged hoops.
Earlier this year, Hat Trick Educational Trust teamed up with Naenae to address this problem. This month the project is coming to a close. New hoops were installed last Tuesday and this week new equipment is being delivered; this includes seventeen new basketballs and netballs.
With the success of their first project, the charity looks forward to continuing working in the Hutt Valley. Their goal is to provide quality sports equipment to encourage youth participation in sport.
