Stepping UP computer classes to be held at Upper Hutt Central Library
Covering the basics, such as email, word processing, and internet security, Upper Hutt City Library is hosting a series of computer classes, starting on April 21.
UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 10 APR 2015—Struggling to get to grips with the digital age? Upper Hutt City Library is partnering with the 2020 Communications Trust to offer the free Stepping UP computer classes to people with little or no computer experience.
“This is a great opportunity to learn digital skills in a self-paced class with a qualified tutor to help as needed,” says Erica Herron, Upper Hutt City Council’s Community Engagement Team Leader.
There are thirteen classes covering the basics of email, word processing, internet security and more. Starting on April 21, classes will be held in Upper Hutt Central Library on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and on Thursdays from 1.00 to 3.00 pm. The programme is open to anyone wishing to develop computer skills for work or personal development. Participants can choose the classes that best suit their needs and interests, but as spaces are limited, registration is essential.
